Since many of our computer systems in the office were partitioned in the same way, we used AOMEI Partition Assistant to shrink and expand partitions or drives until we got a sufficient amount of space in the C drive. With the help of AOMEI Partition Assistant, we could easily add the unallocated space to any drive, shrink it, and then merge the excess space with the desired drive, thereby expanding it in a way the Disk Management tool couldn't. We had to tackle this issue because the C drive was running low on space from the OS, as many installed applications took up a lot of space. So, as all the unallocated space was next to the F drive, we couldn't expand the C, D, and E drives.
The default Disk Management tool in Windows has a significant flaw where you can only assign unallocated space to a partition if the unallocated space appears directly to the right of the desired drive in the window. AOMEI Partition Assistant solved the problem of resizing disk partitions and moving unallocated space to the desired partitions.
